Ex­trav­a­ganza com­ing to Meadow Lakes Dec. 6

Com­mu­nity Share Min­istries is hold­ing a Christ­mas Ex­trav­a­ganza in De­cem­ber to help raise money for their var­i­ous projects and give lo­cal fam­i­lies a happy hol­i­day.

Amanda Shaw, who is help­ing to or­ga­nize the event, said ven­dors will be at Meadow Lakes Coun­try Club on Dec. 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Shaw said ad­mis­sion to the event is free.

A num­ber of ven­dors will be on hand dur­ing the hol­i­day shop­ping ex­trav­a­ganza, of­fer­ing items such as Scentsy can­dles and wax cubes, home­made dec­o­ra­tive wreaths, Mary Kay prod­ucts and more.

“This is go­ing to be a ven­dor’s only event,” she said. “We’ll have some en­ter­tain­ment, but what this is re­ally all about is rep­re­sent­ing peo­ple who re­ally need the money more than we all do this com­ing hol­i­day sea­son.”

Shaw said the free event will also fea­ture free hot choco­late and cof­fee for those who at­tend.

She said or­ga­niz­ers are also look­ing for help from the com­mu­nity in pro­vid­ing lo­cal fam­i­lies with a happy hol­i­day.

“We adopted a bunch of fam­i­lies this year for Christ­mas as well,” Shaw said. “We’ll have an An­gel Tree with all of the kids ages and whether they’re a boy or girl so peo­ple can come in and get presents for those chil­dren if they wish.”

Shaw said Mr. and Mrs. Claus will also be on hand dur­ing the ex­trav­a­ganza to take pic­tures and hear Christ­mas wishes with young­sters.
