Mr. Stegall

Mr. James “Keith” Stegall, age 70 of Rockmart, passed away Tuesday evening, Oct. 28, 2014.

Mr. Stegall was born on December 8, 1943 in Rockmart, son of the late James W. Stegall and the late Imogene Parham Stegall.

He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietnam War. Mr. Stegall attended the Second Baptist Church of Rockmart and was owner and operator of J. K. Stegall Trucking.

He enjoyed working in his garden, taking long walks, watching westerns and the history channel. He had a great love for his family and they believed he was the best role model and greatest father they could have had. Mr. Stegall was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Jean McClain.

Survivors included his wife of 50 years, Jackie Hendrix Stegall of Rockmart; three children, Rhonda Peugh and her husband Jerry, Greg Stegall, and Connie Nance and her husband Ricky all of Rockmart; brother-in-law, Carlton McClain of Cedartown; and three nieces, Jennae Elder, Kim Allen and Ashley McClain.

Funeral services for Mr. Stegall were held on Friday morning, Oct. 31 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Rev. David Warriner officiatin­g. Interment services followed in the family lot of Rockmart Memorial Gardens with presentati­on of the US flag by the Brown-Wright American Legion Post #12 Honor Guard.

The following gentlemen served as pallbearer­s: Greg Stegall, Jerry Peugh, Ricky Nance, Carlton McClain, Tony Stegall and Troy Hendrix.

The following gentlemen served as honorary pallbearer­s: Jack Ingram, Morris McDowell and Brownie Gaulding.
