Extravaganza coming to Meadow Lakes Dec. 6

- From staff reports

Community Share Ministries is holding a Christmas Extravaganza in December to help raise money for their various projects and give local families a happy holiday.

Amanda Shaw, who is helping to organize the event, said vendors will be at Meadow Lakes Country Club on Dec. 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Shaw said admission to the event is free.

A number of vendors will be on hand during the holiday shopping extravaganza, offering items such as Scentsy candles and wax cubes, homemade decorative wreaths, Mary Kay products and more.

“This is going to be a vendor’s only event,” she said. “We’ll have some entertainment, but what this is really all about is representing people who really need the money more than we all do this coming holiday season.”

Shaw said the free event will also feature free hot chocolate and coffee for those who attend.

She said organizers are also looking for help from the community in providing local families with a happy holiday.

“We adopted a bunch of families this year for Christmas as well,” Shaw said. “We’ll have an Angel Tree with all of the kids ages and whether they’re a boy or girl so people can come in and get presents for those children if they wish.”

Shaw said Mr. and Mrs. Claus will also be on hand during the extravaganza to take pictures and hear Christmas wishes with youngsters.
