Church, 733 Cleo Street, Cedartown, invites you to the 39th Pastor’s Anniversar­y for Pastor Hope Smith at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014.

Minister Angela Smith McCrary, daughter of Pastor Smith, will be the speaker.

The Polk Retired Educators Associatio­n will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at the Cherokee Country Club in Cedartown.

The Youth Department at Wesley Chapel AME Church, 521 East Elm in Rockmart, will host a “Soup for the Soul” meal at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24.

The community is invited to share soup and sandwiches. Pastor is James McKenzie.

The Northwest Georgia Regional Commission’s Area Agency on Aging will hold its quarterly meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 25 at the Thornton Recreation Center, 102 North Floyd Park in Rome, Georgia. The event will begin at 10 a.m. and is open to the public.

Mary’s Story, a Christmas musical, will be presented at Spring Creek Baptist Church, 2636 Chulio Road, Rome, at 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 6-7.

A Thanksgivi­ng service is planned at Morning View Baptist Church at 7 p.m. Nov. 25 at 191 Clarkwood Road in Rockmart.

Preaching will be by Rev. Clinton Green. Greater Promise will present special singing. Pastor is Rev. Jeff Hulsey.

Lake Creek Anointed Ministries invites the public to the following services: Church meeting, December 6, Seeking Christ Crusade, 7 p.m. Dec. 3 – 4, Christmas dinner, Dec. 21 and Watch Night, Dec. 31.

The church is located at 784 Pine Pitch Road, Cedartown. Pastor is Bishop Joseph Sewell.

Coosa Valley Regional Services will meet at 10 a.m. Nov. 20 at the main office in Rome, 3 Riverside Industrial Parkway NE. The public is invited.

Eastview Baptist Associatio­n President, will be special guest. The program will include a col- lection of vocal music by Mrs. Ava Rainey from Polk County.
