Mrs. Rita Forsyth Campbell, age 62, of Rockmart passed away Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014 at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born in Rome on Sept. 23, 1952, a daughter of the late James Ellis Forsyth and the late Nellie Horsley Forsyth.

Mrs. Campbell had lived all of her life in Polk County where she was a faithful member of the East View Baptist Church. As a member of the East View Baptist Church, she served faithfully in different areas throughout the years including Social Director and Vacation Bible School food director.

Mrs. Campbell loved spending time with her family especially her grandchild­ren who were dear to her heart. One hobby that she enjoyed was collecting tea pots and tea settings. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by a granddaugh­ter, Isabella Grace Baines; and a brother, Joel Lamar Forsyth.

Survivors include her husband, Lantz Campbell of Rockmart, to whom she was married on April 27, 1974; two daughters: Krista Rayburn and her husband Brent, Rockmart and Brittany Baines and her husband Don, Rockmart; four grandchild­ren: Kaitlin Rayburn, Hayden Rayburn, Britton Grace Baines and Weston Baines; two brothers: Joe Forsyth and his wife Tammy, Rockmart and Randy Forsyth and his wife Pam, Cedartown; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Reginald Campbell officiatin­g. Interment followed in the Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Dale Miller officiatin­g.

Pallbearer­s included: Hayden Rayburn, Weston Baines, Brian Campbell, Marshall Campbell, Craig Forsyth, Jeremy Forsyth, Austin Mason, Allen Camara, and Jim Mullen.

Honorary pallbearer­s included: Kaitlin Rayburn, Britton Grace Baines, Jordan Bagley, Jennifer Prater, Adam Camara, Samuel Camara, Chris Campbell, Candace Cox, Curtis Campbell, Josh Campbell, Amber Kirk, Hunter Forsyth, Parke Quillian, and the deacons of Eastview Baptist Church.

The family would like to thank Heyman Hospice for the compassion­ate care they provided during this time.

The Alvis Miller and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangemen­ts for the funeral of Mrs. Rita Forsyth Campbell.
