Building Inspector Brian McCray told the public works committee that building permit activity in June included two new residential houses under construction and six additions or major renovations.

He said a commercial addition permit was issued to allow installation of a new antenna to an existing cell tower. And the permitting process is underway for an application to build a new cell phone tower on property near the intersection of Rayford Road and Fish Creek Road, McCray said.

For the month of June, permit fees brought in $2,224 in revenue. The construction value of all permits issued in June was $395,000.

All told, the county has taken in $26,386 in permit fee revenue for the year so far (through June 2015). The total value of the construction for which permits have been issued so far in 2015 is $7,388,506.
