Local ladies celebrate opening of Lovely Living
A grand opening is planned at Lovely Living Home Décor and Gifts, a new Rockmart business, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3.
Alisa Mullinax and Taylor Eison, co-owners and designers, invite the public to come for a fun filled day.
They plan to showcase new merchandise for the holiday season. There will also be refreshments, giveaways and drawing for prizes.
Lovely Living is housed in a circa 1885 home, located at the corner of Cherry and Slate streets. It was selected as the site for the business since it offers history and beauty.
“We want our customers to feel at home when they walk through our doors,” Mullinax said.
Shoppers will find a unique blend of new and vintage items for the art of beautiful living. The design focus is rustic farmhouse, French country, shabby chic, and antique reproductions. Current lines include Luminara, Swan Creek Candle Company, Crestview Collection, Park Hill Collection, Farmhouse Paint, Beaucoup Designs, and more.
Locating in Rockmart was an easy decision to make, according to the co-owners. They chose the community because of its picturesque views, warm, friendly residents, rich history and culture and growing economy.
The mother- daughter team is determined to bring “lovely” back and inspire everyone who enters the shoppe. Whether it’s designing a gorgeous centerpiece, painting that piece of furniture the perfect accent color or finding the perfect wedding gift, they want to inspire everyone to live a more lovely life.
“The world can be such an ugly and scary place and living a more inspired, beautiful, and lovely life is the best way to counteract those bad aspects,” according to Alisa and Taylor.
Alisa Mullinax resides in Rockmart and has more than 25 years of retail experience. She has a passion for interior design and enjoys creat- ing beautiful living environments. She works full time at Bradford Drug Store in Cedartown.
Taylor Eison of Atlanta has a Bachelors degree from Georgia State University and a Masters from Kennesaw Sate University and works as a personal cabi stylist. She has more than 10 years retail experience and also has a passion for interior design and a fondness for beautiful things.
Lovely Living Home Décor and Gifts is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Extended holiday hours will be set after Thanksgiving.
