Enrichment program completed; provides support for students

-

The Summer Education Enrichment Program recently completed another successful session in Polk County.

The mission of this program is to present learning concepts and academic topics or subjects that challenge each student by supporting their school curriculum and encourage problem solving and critical thinking in an environment that motivates students to reach their greatest learning potential.

Individuals may select a topic of interest or area of academics, promoting them to exemplify strength. Teachers and students work together to develop learning goals, time it will take and material needed to augment the learning process. Each student is given opportunity to demonstrate what he or she has learned.

Teachers use learning contracts to keep students on task and focused in order to accomplish set goals. They may allow participants to make choices about what to learn and how it will be used in a committed task. Students may meet all outcomes or some outcomes for a specific academic subject.

The Education Enrichment Program provides fundamentals in math, reading, writing and skill building.
