Mondays date for children to hear favorite stories at Rockmart Library

It’s story time at 10 a.m. Mondays in the Rockmart Library, located at 316 N. Piedmont Avenue.

These 30-minute programs are recommende­d for ages 18 months to six years.

The October topic schedule includes: 5 – Check out the Library, 12 – Squirrels, 19 – We are Family, 26 – Halloween.

In November, the following series will be included: 2 – Leaves, 9 – Crayons, 16 – Owls, 23 – Thanksgivi­ng, 30 – ChooChoos.

Children can hear about the following during December: 7 – Clothes, 14 – Blankets, 21 – Ho! Ho! Ho! There will be no show on Dec. 28.

During January 2016, parents are encouraged to bring their children for the following: 4 – Imaginatio­n, 11 – Penguins, 18 – Tools, 25 – Pizza Man.

Don’t forget Puppet Show that Days are held at 11 a.m. on Thursdays.

Topics will include: Oct. 15, Welcome Friends; Nov. 12, Wild, Wild West; Dec. 10, Naughty or Nice; Jan. 14, Comfy Jammies; Feb. 11, Valentine’s Day; March 3, Who Hair Day (Dr. Seuss); April 14, Love My Library.

The library is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and closed on Sunday.

Quinnecia Twine, Rockmart, recently graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a Bachelor of Science degree.

More than 1,000 students met their graduation requiremen­ts and were eligible to participat­e in the ceremonies.
