Employment Notice

The City of Rockmart will accept employment applications beginning September 28, 2015 at the Municipal Building, 316 N. Piedmont Avenue, Rockmart, GA 30153 during the norma1 business hours Monday through Friday from 8:30a.m. - 5:00p.m., for the following position:

POSITION: RECREATION MAINTENANCE / GROUNDS KEEPER II

Duties to include, but not limited to, mowing and maintenance of recreation parks, lawns and open space areas; knowledge and ability to plant, feed, water & weed these areas; maintain lawn and turf equipment, irrigation systems and other facilities equipment; perform custodial duties at various City facilities; coordinate and work with City recreation programs. Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays when needed. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications must include any combination of education and experience which demonstrates the knowledge and experience to perform the above duties. Applicant must have the skill to operate appropriate tools for the job and must have the ability to work independently and with others. Each applicant must submit a copy of current driver's license, copy of certificate of birth and a copy of High School Diploma or GED. All applicants will be subject to a criminal and drivers history background investigation.
