Precious Paws serving lots of pups
Precious Paws, established in 1997, caters to pets by providing a grooming spa, luxury hotel and in home setting service.
Kellie Taylor, owner and award- winning groomer, launched her business with a vision to create satisfied clients by providing professional services that enhances the look of pets at a reasonable price.
“We accomplish this by recognizing that each pet is an individual and deserves special care,” she said. Each one receives attention to their breed standard, personal style, body shape and personality.”
The business, located at 221 S. Marble St., Rockmart, has grown from an initial customer base of about 50 to almost 3,000 in 2015.
Whether short hair or long, Taylor emphasized that regular grooming is one of the most basic needs for a pet to have a happy, comfortable and healthy life. She believes that it is about more than a haircut and pawdicure.
“Our spa services ensure the rejuvenation of your pets mind and body,” she said. “We use only the finest all-natural products as well as the best equipment possible.”
Grooming packages includes bath, bubble and more, pretty paws, precious paws, comfort, renew and ultimate spa, eye and dental care, moisturizing skin wrap, blueberry facial, pawdicure, soft claws, color and shed less.
If a pet needs special attention due to age, anxiety or just to feel better, arrangements can be made for “no crate and no wait”, which reduces time an animal will spend in a grooming session. Daycare is offered for pets that need to stay longer than required. Each one is provided a space in the luxury hotel with ample opportunity to participate in individual and/or group playtime.
“This is more than a job to me,” Taylor said. “It is a passion. That is the reason I continue to be involved in community activities and education for responsible pet parenting.”
As part of this commitment, she has presented programs at local schools and takes part in downtown events such as the Halloween Festival of Treats.
Taylor continues to research the grooming industry and attends ongoing training for the latest trends and best products available. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and is an active member of the National Groomers Association of America. She has also won multiple placements for her grooming talent in the world’s largest pet grooming competitions.
