“Holiday Gift Shop” will be open Fridays and Saturdays at art gallery in Rockmart
Santa will be visiting the RCAC Art Gallery, 316 N. Piedmont Ave., Rockmart, during the Holiday Gift Shop reception from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14.
A picture with Santa is free. Refreshments will be served and everyone is invited to attend.
The gift shop is now open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Dec. 19, 2015.
Calling for artists: “Industrial Design”
The exhibit is planned from Jan. 15, 2106 to Feb. 27, 2016. You are invited to find the beauty in shapes and details of man-made objects. Let your imagination flow.
Artists age 18 and up are invited to submit photos of any medium of art with the industrial design theme.
Deadline for submissions is December 14, 2015.
No fee to enter. However, RCAC Art Gallery retains 20% of any sales.
Email photos of up to 5 pieces of art to rcac@ rockmart-ga.gov for consideration.

“The Memories of Christmas” chorus concert tickets are for sale!
The event will be presented at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5 and 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6 at the Arts Center Theatre, 116 East Elm Street, Rockmart.
Tickets can be purchased from any chorus member, at Linda’s Place Restaurant in Rockmart, online at www. rcac. t i cketleap. com/memories, or at the box office the days of the concerts. General
admission is $6.00.
Dance Classes People, age 50 and up, are invited to be a part of “Just Dance” classes now offered at RCAC, 316 N. Piedmont Ave., Bldg. 300, Rockmart.
Classes are now underway. If you are interested, email rcac@ rockmart-ga.gov or call 770-684-2707 to register! The instructor is Donna Kalish.
A 1-hour class is held from 11 a.m. to noon on Mondays and Wednesdays or 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. The 6-week session is $4.00 per class or $48 tuition total.
Students should wear comfortable clothing and sneakers. The instructor provides the props.
Other dance classes available are: “Creative Movement” (Ages 4 – 7), and “Modern Dance” (Ages 8 – 12).

These include Calligraphy & Lettering, Creative Movement (Ages 4 – 7), Colored Pencil, Drawing, Guitar, Mommy & Me Beginners Art, Mosaic Tile Art, Painting - Oil, Acrylic, or Watercolor, Photography, Piano, Portraits – any medium with Omar Bolado, Pottery – Open Studio – year round – Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays (Work at your own pace!), and Whittling
