Polk 4-H’ers com­pete at an­nual event

Polk County 4-H’ers re­cently had the op­por­tu­nity to com­pete at the An­nual Cot­ton­boll and Con­sumer Judg­ing Jam­boree in Cartersvil­le.

They com­peted against 194 other 4-H’ers from across the North­west Dis­trict.

The Se­nior team placed 8th with Grace Prince of Cedar­town High School rank­ing in the top 30 High In­di­vid­ual Score.

The Ju­nior team placed 9th, with Minnes Smith of Ge­or­gia Cy­ber Acad­emy rank­ing in the top 10 High In­di­vid­ual Score.

To qual­ify for com­pe­ti­tion, the 4-H’ers had to at­tend 7 train­ing classes as well as a scav­enger hunt at Arbor Place Mall, to get ready for the com­pe­ti­tion.
