Anytime Fitness is keeping business steady in Rockmart
Anytime Fitness, 1775 Nathan Dean Pkwy, will celebrate its 5th year in Rockmart during March.
Anytime Fitness is the world’s largest 24hour gym and coed fitness center chain. The Rockmart business, owned by Adam and Michelle Atkinson, offers 24-hour access and security with convenient parking.
Atkinson said business is brisk at the center, which he described as being in a great location.
“We chose Rockmart due to its friendly people who share our fondness for a small town atmosphere,” he said. “It is also a good place to do business.”
Atkinson said – since opening his business – he has become more involved in community activities. He mentioned the Polk County Chamber of Commerce as being one of the organizations that continues to promote the growth of the local area.
He has also been a speaker at the Kiwanis Club where he addressed members about the Silver Sneaker program. It is designed for people over 50 who wish to get fit and stay healthy.
Staffed hours are Monday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesday, 12 to 7 p.m.; Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursday, 12 to 7 p.m. and Friday, 12 to 5 p.m. Not staffed on Sunday and by appointment on Saturday.
The fitness center is designed to fit today’s on- the- go lifestyle, according to Atkinson.
“You can exercise any time using your own security-access key,” he said. “That’s 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.”
The center offers anywhere club access, private restrooms and showers, tanning, personal training, classes, cardio equipment, treadmills, elliptical, exercise cycles, stair climbers, strength equipment, circuit/selectorized, free weights and more.
To help individuals get started, each new member receives a free personal fitness orientation. Once you become a member, you can visit thousands of fitness centers for the price of a standard monthly gym membership.
