The City of Cedartown met for their regular session after press time on Monday, Feb. 8, 2016 at 6 p.m. Look in next week’s Standard Journal for more information.

The Cedartown Tree Commission is set to meet on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Cedartown City Hall. Call 770-748-3220 for more information.

The City of Rockmart was set to hold their council session on the evening of Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. at city hall in the council meeting room located at 316 N. Piedmont Ave. Look for more information on the meeting in the coming week’s edition of the Standard Journal since it was held after press time for the current week’s paper.

The Polk County Planning and Zoning Commission will meet for their February session on Feb. 18 at 6 p.m. in the commission meeting room at the Polk County Police Department Building (Commissioner’s Meeting Room) at 73 Cline, Ingram, Jackson Road Cedartown.

The City of Aragon will hold their monthly work session at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18 at city hall, located at 2814 Rome Highway, Aragon. Following the work session, the council will convene at city hall for their regular session at 7 p.m.

The next court session will be held on Feb. 22.

The Polk County Public Safety committee will meet at 4 p.m. on Feb. 25, 2016 at the Polk County Adminstration offices at 144 West Ave., Cedartown. The Polk County Public Works committee will meet at 5 p.m., or following the end of the previous committee meeting.

The Next session of the stakeholders meeting for the upcoming 10-year plan update is set to be held at Cedartown City Hall on March 4, 2016 at 6 p.m. The meeting is open to the public and those who want to help shape the future of Polk County are encouraged to attend.
