Cedar­town At­tor­neys Named to State Bar of Georgia Com­mit­tees for 2016-17

Four Cedar­town at­tor­neys have been ap­pointed to serve as mem­bers of var­i­ous stand­ing, special and pro­gram com­mit­tees of the 48,000-mem­ber State Bar of Georgia for 2016-17.

Ge­orge E. Mundy of Ge­orge E. Mundy P.C. was named to the Bar Cen­ter Com­mit­tee, which mon­i­tors the Bar’s needs and uses of its head­quar­ters fa­cil­ity in At­lanta.

Brad J. McFall of Gam­mon An­der­son & McFall was ap­pointed to the Bench & Bar Com­mit­tee, which over­sees the Ju­di­cial District Pro­fes­sion­al­ism Pro­gram and works to iden­tify and fa­cil­i­tate so­lu­tions to is­sues of mu­tual in­ter­est be­tween the state’s judges and lawyers for the ben­e­fit of the pub­lic.

W. Wright Gam­mon Jr. of Gam­mon An­der­son & McFall was se­lected for the In­di­gent De­fense Com­mit­tee, which mon­i­tors the progress and fund­ing for the Georgia Pub­lic De­fender Stan­dards Coun­cil and pro­vides ex­per­tise and ad­vo­cacy nec­es­sary to sat­isfy the state’s con­sti­tu­tional obli­ga­tion to pro­vide ad­e­quate coun­sel for in­di­gent per­sons who are ac­cused of crimes.

Michael D. McRae of McRae Ste­gall Peek Har­man Smith & Man­ning LLP will serve on the Statewide Ju­di­cial Eval­u­a­tion Com­mit­tee, which ad­vises the State Bar pres­i­dent and as­sists the Ju­di­cial Nom­i­nat­ing Com­mis­sion with re­gard to the qual­i­fi­ca­tions of ju­di­cial can­di­dates.
