Cedartown Attorneys Named to State Bar of Georgia Committees for 2016-17

Four Cedartown attorneys have been appointed to serve as members of various standing, special and program committees of the 48,000-member State Bar of Georgia for 2016-17.
George E. Mundy of George E. Mundy P.C. was named to the Bar Center Committee, which monitors the Bar’s needs and uses of its headquarters facility in Atlanta.
Brad J. McFall of Gammon Anderson & McFall was appointed to the Bench & Bar Committee, which oversees the Judicial District Professionalism Program and works to identify and facilitate solutions to issues of mutual interest between the state’s judges and lawyers for the benefit of the public.
W. Wright Gammon Jr. of Gammon Anderson & McFall was selected for the Indigent Defense Committee, which monitors the progress and funding for the Georgia Public Defender Standards Council and provides expertise and advocacy necessary to satisfy the state’s constitutional obligation to provide adequate counsel for indigent persons who are accused of crimes.
Michael D. McRae of McRae Stegall Peek Harman Smith & Manning LLP will serve on the Statewide Judicial Evaluation Committee, which advises the State Bar president and assists the Judicial Nominating Commission with regard to the qualifications of judicial candidates.
