Mrs. Linda Lou Carter, age 67, of Cedar­town, passed away on Satur­day morn­ing, Oct. 15, 2016 fol­low­ing a brief ill­ness.

She was born on Feb. 26, 1949 in Fel­ton, the daugh­ter of Mr. and Mrs. T.H. Timms.

She was re­tired from the food in­dus­try, was a mem­ber of the Friendly Bap­tist Church of Cedar­town.

Mrs. Carter was pre­ceded in death by her fa­ther and Hus­band Mar­ion Carter, Broth­ers James Timms and Clif­ford Timms.

She is sur­vived by her lov­ing fam­ily, her mother, Wil­lie McGatha Timms; her sons and a daugh­ter in law, Don­ald Carter and Ron­ald Carter and his wife Stacy; her daugh­ter, Diane Oliver; her brother, Don­ald Timms; four sis­ters, Faye Craw­ford, Lorene Wash­burn, Ar­lene God­frey and Dar­lene John­son; her grand­chil­dren, Rusty Nale, Nicole Nale, Pamela and Blake Shel­ton and Caleb Carter; her great grand­chil­dren, Zack Nale, Gabe Oliver and Vin­cent Shel­ton. Nieces and neph­ews also sur­vive.

Fu­neral ser­vices for Mrs. Linda Lou Carter were con­ducted on Mon­day af­ter­noon, Oct. 17, 2016 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of the Lester C. Lite­sey Fu­neral Home with the Rev. John Red­ding of­fi­ci­at­ing.

In­ter­ment will fol­low in the Cen­ter Ceme­tery, Fel­ton.

The fol­low­ing Gen­tle­men served as pall­bear­ers: Tommy Kel­ley, Brad Truett, Spencer Nale, Lee Dunn, Jr. "Pee Wee" Welchel, Jim Welchel, Michael Timms and Scotty Ray. Hon­orary Pall­bear­ers will be: Tim Craig, Lee Dunn, Sr., Ken­neth Timms and Bill Craw­ford.
