Mrs. Womack

Mrs. Joanne Womack, age 80, of Cedartown, and formerly of Rockmart passed away Friday, Oct. 21, 2016 in Cedartown.

She was born on Nov. 4, 1935 a daughter of Elmer Roberson and Verda Marks Roberson.

Mrs Womack was a longtime employee of the Goodyear Mill of Rockmart. She enjoyed quilting and making crafts.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Melvin, sister, Betty Ingram; son, Stephen and grandson Tarl Earwood. Survivors include six children: Mike (Wendy) Earwood, Greg Proctor, Debra (Chris) Lyons, Karen Womack, Phil Womack and Stacey (Paul) Holbrook; sister, Willene Hames; eleven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Memorial services were be held Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Holbrook officiating.

The Alvis Miller and Son Funeral Home was in charge of memorial arrangements. (Bud) Davis, Jr. officiating.

Interment services followed in the family lot of the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Daniel Parker, Tara Parker, Daryl Wilson, Dave Meadows, Billy Gilliam and Denny Garrett.
