Second Operation Christmas Child location opening soon for dropoffs at Pine Bower

For the first time in Polk county history there will be an additional Operation Christmas Child shoebox drop off location in the county.

According to a release sent into the Standard Journal, Pine Bower Baptist Church, located at 100 Pine Bower Road, Cedartown, will join long time participat­ing Bellview Baptist Church, 2333 North Bellview Road, Rockmart in partnering with Operation Christmas Child.

It is a project of Samaritans Purse. Both locations will receive shoeboxes during National Collection Week, Nov. 14 through 21.

Bellview Baptist will be open Monday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Tuesday 5:00 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday 10 a.m. to noon, Thursday 5 p.m.- to 7 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday 10 a.m. to noon, and Sunday 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.. and the following Monday from 8:00 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Pine Bower will receive shoeboxes on Monday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday 10 a.m. to noon, Thursday 4 to 6 p.m, Friday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sunday 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., and the following Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a;m.
