Engagement announcement

Kristin Little and Gabe Padgett

Mr. and Mrs. Danny Little of Felton announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristen, to Mr. Gabe Padgett of Athens, Georgia. Kristen is a 2010 graduate of Cedartown High School and a 2014 honor graduate of Shorter University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education.

While at Shorter she was a successful athlete obtaining a national championship in track and softball. Now, Kristen is using her athletic ability and knowledge t o coach Cedartown High School’s cross country and track teams. She is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Education from the University of West Georgia.

Kristen is an employee of Polk County Schools as a Third Grade Science and Social Studies teacher at Youngs Grove Elementary School.

Gabe is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Padgett of Athens. He is a 2011 graduate of Athens Academy and a 2015 graduate of Shorter University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.

While at Shorter he was a member of the football team, Dean’s List, and Student Nurses Association where he participated in a Medical Mission trip to Haiti in the Spring of 2014.

Gabe is employed as a Registered Nurse in the Orthopedic/Surgical Unit at Tanner Regional Medical Center in Carrollton. The wedding is planned for July 1, 2017 at Stone Creek Inn in Rockmart. Formal invitations will be sent.
