Rockmart Lady Jackets see season come to end

The season is over for the Rockmart Lady Jackets after they made their region tournament appearance and fell to Armuchee last week in the 7-AA play.

Armuchee was not taking any chances as their veterans stepped up and took care of business, ending Rockmart’s road to the state tournament early in a 55-31 loss at the 7-AA region tournament held in Summerville on Feb. 7.

Kahayla Robinson finished with 13 points, the only Rockmart player with 10 points or more.

Armuchee rode big games from Morgan Copeland and Livia Skinner while an aggressive defense helped the Lady Indians take down Rockmart 5531 at the Region 7-AA tournament in Summerville.
