Aragon man charged with debit card fraud

An Aragon man now faces charges of debit card fraud stemming from incidents in January.

According t o Floyd County Jail reports:

John Wesley Sprayberry, 27, of 32 Loyd Drive, used another man’s debit card to ring up purchases at both of Rome’s Wal- Marts and the Southern Pride convenienc­e store on Ga. 101.

Sprayberry has been in jail on misdemeano­r charges of willful obstructio­n of law enforcemen­t, theft by receiving stolen property, stop sign violation and driving without insurance since Feb. 5; he is additional­ly c harged with t hree counts of felony financial transactio­n card fraud.

Sprayberry was in jail without bond Friday night, being held for the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office.
