Lady Bulldogs nets win vs. Sandy Creek in region play

Tickets are on sale now for the rodeo, coming up on Sept. 8 and 9, at Haney Feed and Seed.

Advanced ticket prices are $10 in for children 12 years old and under, and $ 12 in for adults. Children under 3 get in free.

Costs at the gate on the upcoming Friday and Saturday nights are $12 for children 12 and under, and $15 for adults.

The Lady Bulldogs are back above .500 after a week of region play that landed them at 6- 5 for the season as they got a break for Labor Day and head back into play today against rival Rockmart.

Cedartown got a needed win over Rome in non-region play on Aug. 22, and split region play against Troup County and Sandy Creek. A score wasn’t immediately available at press time over the weekend for their game on the schedule against Chapel Hill on Aug. 31.

The Lady Bulldogs hit the road for a Aug. 24 game against the Lady Tigers in LaGrange, where they fell in a 14-8 region loss.

Cedartown bounced back in their Aug. 29 home contest against Sandy Creek, picking up a 6-1 win before they were set to hit the road on Aug. 29.

As of press time, the Lady Bulldogs were sitting at 2-3 in the region according to information available. That put them in sixth place thus far, with LaGrange and Central Carroll tied in first followed by Troup County, Chapel Hill and Cartersville.

Sandy Creek took seventh place in Region 5-AAAA play.

Following today’s showdown on the softball diamond with Rockmart, the Lady Bulldogs host LaGrange on Thursday, followed by road trip to Central Carroll on Sept. 12 before traveling again to face non- region foe Rome on Sept. 14.
