The Cedar­town Lady Bull­dogs cel­e­brated Se­nior Night last week as the reg­u­lar sea­son wrapped up for their soft­ball team, but they didn’t come out of it the way they were hop­ing.

Cedar­town heads into the re­gion tour­na­ment this week hop­ing to get big wins start­ing Tuesday af­ter press time af­ter they fell to Har­al­son County, Chapel Hill and Cen­tral Car­roll in a trio of games to fin­ish up the 2017 reg­u­lar sea­son.

The Lady Bull­dogs kicked off the week with a 10-3 loss to the Lady Rebels on Sept. 25.

That was fol­lowed by a 11-0 loss to Chapel Hill on Sept. 26, and 9-1 loss to Cen­tral on Sept. 28.

This year’s se­niors cel­e­brated on Sept. 25 in­cluded Laura Ash­ley Tillery, Makenzy Young­blood, Ka­t­rina Har­ris, Ken­za­via Neal and Shelby Vin­son.

Cedar­town was set to start on Tuesday in the re­gion 5-AAAA tour­na­ment.

Check back next week for re­sults on how the Lady Bull­dogs did, and whether they are head­ing to the state play­offs for this year.
