Rock­mart wraps up reg­u­lar sea­son with win

The post­sea­son awaits for the Rock­mart Yel­low Jack­ets, and they are primed and ready to go for Fri­day night af­ter a stel­lar reg­u­lar sea­son ended with a per­fect run through the re­gion.

The Jack­ets en­joyed their fi­nal reg­u­lar sea­son home vic­tory wrap­ping up the game with a 42-10 win over Model, keep­ing the Jack­ets per­fect in 7-AA.

“Our fo­cus this week was to come out and make sure we played well so we get a good feel­ing go­ing in next week in the first round of play­offs,” said head coach Biff Par­son. “And we did that: we came out the first half we took ev­ery drive and scored Then our de­fense got them off the field so I couldn’t be more proud of our guys.”

Zabrion What­ley ran for 132 yards and a touch­down on nine at­tempts to lead Rock­mart’s rush­ing at­tack. Markus Smith had 86 yards and two touch­downs on nine car­ries, and the Jack­ets fin­ished with 372 yards rush­ing.
