The Polk County Water Authority board will be meeting tonight at 6 p.m. to finalize the bond sales for the new Mulco-Ammon Water Treatment Facility work. They’ll meet at the Water Authority office, located at 1381 Rockmart Highway, Cedartown.

A trio of sessions are coming up for Polk County’s committees this Thursday, March 15. Commission­ers and officials invite the public to attend the committee meetings at Polk County’s Administra­tion office at 144 West Ave., Cedartown for the 4 p.m. Public Safety committee meeting, 5:30 p.m. Public Works committee and 7 p.m. Airport committee meetings.

The Aragon City Council will be back to conduct their March business starting with a 6 p.m. work session this Thursday, March 15, followed by a 7 p.m. regular session. Polk County commission­ers and officials will be gathering next week for upcoming committee meetings and invite the public to participat­e. They’ll begin on Tuesday, March 20 with the Ordinance Review committee at 4 p.m., the Technology Committee meeting at 5:30 p.m. and the Animal Control committee at 7 p.m. On Wednesday, March 21, the bid review committee will gather at 9:30 a.m., followed by the finance committee at 2:30 p.m. and the Personnel committee at 4 p.m. All committees gather at the Polk County Administra­tion office at 144 West Ave., Cedartown.

The next meeting for the Cedartown City Commission will be coming up on Monday, April 9, 2018 at 6 p.m. in the Commission Meeting Room at City Hall on East Avenue. The Polk County Board of Education will be back to work for their upcoming work and community input session on Tuesday, April 3. The following week the board will gather for their regular session on Tuesday, April 10. Both sessions start at 6 p.m. and are held in the board meeting room at the Polk School District Central Office in Cedartown at 612 S. The Polk County Commission will gather again on Monday, April 2 for a work session and Tuesday, April 3 for their regular meeting. Those interested in speaking must submit their names no later than Tuesday, March 27 at noon for considerat­ion to get on the work session agenda.
