Helping Hands now has Spring items for sale

- SJ Correspondent Helping Hands has a variety of books for sale.

The Helping Hands Thrift Store is offering locals a chance to update their wardrobe while helping an important cause. Located at Rockmart’s 107 Church St., the store recently put out spring attire, and all profits will continue to benefit Helping Hands Ministry. Patrons can stop by from 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, and the store is open from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. on Friday.

While the clothing has been updated with the likes of short-sleeves, shorts, and dresses, regulars can expect the usual sales including Monday’s senior citizen discount for those 60 years and older and Wednesday’s 50 percent off sale for all customers. Those who already have warm- weather clothing but want to help the store out may consider donating. “We do donations on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a. m. through 2 p. m.,” Scott said. “(We’re accepting) basically everything.”

Clothing isn’t the only thing offered by the store that has seen an influx of children’s and baby’s toys, books, collectibles and more. Those looking to do- nate need only visit the store and drop off their items. Helping Hands is a nonprofit ministry that provides food, household items, and clothing to those who need it most, and those who donate to the ministry receive tax forms and write-offs.
