Radosta to compete for USA in Brazil

Berry College’s Megan Radosta has been selected to compete in Brazil this summer as a member of the USA DIII Women’s Soccer team.

She will join Jake Williamson, Caleb Ford and Alec Jones from the men’s soccer team who are also traveling to Brazil as members of the men’s squad.

The USA DIII Soccer Teams are inviting NCAA Division III men’s and women’s players from across the country. This team is comprised of players recognized as All-Americans, All-Region and AllConfere­nce. The 15 women’s players represent 10 different colleges and universiti­es and come from eight different home states. The 16 men’s players hail from eight different schools and eight different home states.

While in Brazil the teams will experience educationa­l, cultural and social aspects of Brazilian life through city, school and sports club visits. While in Rio the team will stay on the famous Copacabana Beach and tour the Christ the Redeemer Statue and Sugar Loaf Mountain.

Radosta, a junior midfielder, earned her first ever spot on the All-SAA second team last season after scoring four goals for the Vikings. Playing and starting in all 14 games for Berry, Radosta added 44 shots on the season, 20 of which were on goal. Behind Radosta, the Vikings finished the year averaging 13.1 shots per game, while winning three of their final five regular-season competitio­ns.
