Softball signups are underway with the Cedartown Recreation Department for the 2019 season. Come take part in the coming season with updated facilities at Biggers Field by signing up in the Nathan Dean Gym on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 7 p.m. while recreation basketball is underway. Cost is $35 per player. Signups conclude on Thursday, Feb. 28. Visit Cedartownrec.org to find out more.

Rockmart Recreation’s softball tryouts are coming soon on Feb. 9, and team picks will be happening at the Nathan Dean Sports Complex as signups are wrapping up for the 2019 season. Coaches are also needed to help this year, and those interested can fill out a form at the recreation department at the City Hall complex on Piedmont Avenue, and then head over to the Police Department to complete a background check. Player signups continue on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A coaches meeting is scheduled for Feb. 7. Get ready for the 2019 spring soccer season with the Cedartown Recreation Department! Signups are underway at the Nathan Dean Gym on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5 to 7 p.m. during basketball games. Cost is $40 per player. Rockmart Little League signups are underway for the Spring 2019 season. Visit Dean Field at the Nathan Dean Sports Complex on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., or Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to signup. Cost is $125 per player, and includes a book of 10 raffle tickets to sell, with player parents keeping the cost of the tickets. Ages 3 t0 16 with varying age level leagues.
