The Ge­or­gia High­lands Lady Charg­ers are en­ter­ing their NJCAA tour­na­ment at a high rank­ing af­ter a pos­i­tive sea­son through the win­ter months. Check out Page B4 for more on the team’s rank­ing head­ing into tour­na­ment play. Oh the woes of the At­lanta Hawks. They are 12th in the Eastern Con­fer­ence as of press time fac­ing Phoenix over the week­end af­ter the All-Star break, and lost three points to the Pis­tons this past Fri­day get­ting back into play. The Hawks were at 19-40 over­all as of the week­end. Rac­ing sea­son is run­ning full bore again, and Day­tona 500 win­ner Denny Ham­lin was look­ing for an­other win at At­lanta over the week­end – if the track ever dried out. At­lanta was set to start Spring Train­ing games this past week­end, and were look­ing to­ward vet­eran play­ers and fu­ture stars as they seek to do bet­ter than NL East cham­pi­ons for 2019. New Eng­land Pa­tri­ots owner Robert Kraft de­nied that he was in­volved in il­licit be­hav­ior over the week­end af­ter be­ing charged in a pros­ti­tu­tion scan­dal late last week. The Le­gends played Birm­ing­ham over the week­end on Sun­day af­ter a 0-2 start against Or­lando and San Diego on Feb. 9 and Feb. 17. More to come.
