Pryor looking to commit this Saturday, college choice still remains unknown

A decision is coming soon for Cedartown’s Kobe Pryor.

The three-star running back has earned double-digit power five offers from nearly every major conference in college football. However, the rising senior can only choose one school to sign with, and his scheduled commitment is set for Saturday, May 18.

Per 247Sports’ Composite ranking, Pryor is the #745 overall recruit in the country for the Class of 2020. He is a top-60 running back nationally and one of the top 75 recruits in the state of Georgia.

Other than Darlington offensive lineman Tate Ratledge, Pryor is easily the highest rated prospect in this part of northwest Georgia.

On Saturday, the Cedartown product will choose his destination for the next 3-4 years. After making a list of his top 10 schools in early April, Pryor cut his choices to six last week. The six schools vying for Kobe’s services are Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, and South Carolina.

Could Pryor be the next star running back for the Auburn Tigers, or will he join the defending national champions in Clemson? Almost six years to the date of Nick Chubb’s commitment to UGA, will another Cedartown back remain a Bulldog — or will he play for new Tech Head Coach Geoff Collins? Will Pryor head to Baton Rouge and be a Tiger, or go to Columbia and be a Gamecock?

All these questions will be answered on Saturday, May 18. Expect another article on Kobe Pryor and his commitment in the May 22 edition.
