What are the top three committees you’d like to serve on and why?

-

Transportation and infrastructure — Biden’s massive infrastructure spending bill gave $66B to amtrak while the ports received barely more than $17B. amtrak does nothing to support our supply chain. i want to be able to bring common sense back and stop wasteful spending.

Veterans’ affairs — i want to do more to help our veterans and their families who sacrificed so much for our country. Biden’s massive infrastructure spending bill gave our veterans’ $5B while amtrak received $66B and climate $50B. This is dead wrong and i want to offer a stronger voice for our veterans.

subcommittee on immigration and Citizenship — i want to build the wall and stop illegal immigration.

Currently in the 117th Congress, committees are useless. republicans are in the minority and nancy pelosi rules Congress with an iron fist. Gop bills and amendments don’t see the light of day.

Just after i was sworn in, democrats recognized me as the biggest threat to their Communist agenda in Congress and made me their no. 1 target. They kicked me off of committees because i’m just like you, a proud american tired of business as usual in the swamp.

But when republicans take back the majority in 2022, it will be a different story.

i’d be honored to serve on oversight to hold the democrats accountable for abusing their power, Judiciary to push through my articles of impeachment on Joe Biden, and Foreign affairs to put america First and China last and stop the never-ending wars pushed by globalist neocons.

energy: america has to get back to energy independence on every level. We must be a leader and innovator.

Finance: i believe we need to help business and growth, work with current business and help with new businesses. help the small “mom and pop” adventurous souls to start a new business and make getting a loan easier, level the playing field for all american citizens. Work hard to get rid of the state tax.

homeland security: Close The Border.

i would like to serve on the armed services Committee to help reorganize the military for the 21st century and bring additional military facilities and contracts to the 14th Ga Cd. i believe that service on the agriculture Committee would benefit the district greatly in terms of farm production. i would like to serve on the Veterans affairs Committee to help overhaul the Va system to benefit the veterans.

appropriations: When Tom Graves left office, we lost our seat on appropriations. We need to restore our influence on how the money is spent in Congress. Too often we have atrocious spending bills that send us further into debt. i plan on working to cut wasteful spending.

energy & Commerce: The Committee on energy and Commerce is the oldest continuous standing committee in the u.s. house of representatives. it was originally established in 1795 to regulate interstate and foreign commerce. Today, the committee has the broadest jurisdiction of any authorizing committee in Congress. it legislates on a wide variety of issues, including healthcare and energy.

small Business: as a small business owner, i know the challenges we face with regulation and red tape from the federal government. i believe my experience will provide insight to real issues our district’s business community faces and help reduce the burden of the government on them.

i believe i would be most effective in:

Veteran affairs, as i’m an insider as an iraq veteran who has been a victim and a beneficiary of the Va.

homeland security, as i have practical experience contributing to our national security. i value our constitutional rights and will push back at government overreach.

armed services, as i’m a Marine, a Vp for a veteran service organization, and an academic whose work has dealt with advocating for service members from all walks of life to keep us ready and combat effective.
