Kemp grave to be marked in ceremony

The Star Democrat - - LIFE -

The Maryland Society of the United States Daughters of 1812 will place a historical marker on the grave of Thomas Kemp (1779–1824) on Sunday, Sept. 23, at the Wades Point Inn in McDaniel. The Fells Point ship builder constructed the Schooner Chasseur, also known as the Pride of Baltimore, and other ships used in the War of 1812. After the war, Kemp purchased Wades Point and moved his family there, where the Kemp family cemetery still stands.
