Shore Re­gional Health Golf Tour­ney raises $93K for ICU

EAS­TON — The 2018 UM Shore Re­gional Health Golf Tour­na­ment held on Sept. 17 at the Tal­bot Coun­try Club in Eas­ton net­ted $93,249 to ben­e­fit the In­ten­sive Care Unit at Uni­ver­sity of Mary­land Shore Med­i­cal Cen­ter at Eas­ton.

“We would like to thank ev­ery­one for their con­tin­ued sup­port of our an­nual golf tour­na­ment,” said F. Gra­ham Lee, vice pres­i­dent for phi­lan­thropy. “Through the years be­cause of you, the Me­mo­rial Hos­pi­tal Foun­da­tion has been able to pro­vide much needed funds to help im­prove the lives of pa­tients with state-of-the-art equip­ment and tech­nol­ogy, ren­o­va­tions and ed­u­ca­tion.”

Of­fered by UM Me­mo­rial Hos­pi­tal Foun­da­tion, the golf tour­na­ment con­sisted of 32 four­somes that re­ceived a Titleist Vokey Wedge as their thank you gifts, en­joyed lunch on the course and a prizes and awards re­cep­tion.

“Strong spon­sor­ship sup­port re­ceived from more than 43 in­di­vid­u­als and busi­nesses played a vi­tal role in the suc­cess of the event,” a press re­lease stated.
