Women’s Guild raf­fles quilt

The Womens’ Guild of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church soon will se­lect the win­ning raf­fle ticket for their hand­made quilt “Eastern Shore Vi­sions” at its an­nual Christ­mas party. Tick­ets for $1 each or six for $5 are avail­able through any mem­ber of the guild, or on Satur­day, Nov. 15, at the St. Michaels Christ­mas pa­rade in front of Charisma. The heir­loomqual­ity quilt con­tains thou­sands of tiny stitches de­pict­ing in shades of blue and white the nau­ti­cal fla­vor of the Mid-Shore: birds, flow­ers, boats, wa­ter­fowl, light­houses, rivers, bays and creeks. Con­tribut­ing artists were Mary Al­bright, Marti Milone, Fran Hoskins, Gretchen Ce­lestino, Rose Sig­man, Genevieve De­cere, Doris Pow­ers, Sarah Maxwell, Au­drey McNulty and Adri­enne Wafer.
