Women’s Guild raffles quilt
The Womens’ Guild of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church soon will select the winning raffle ticket for their handmade quilt “Eastern Shore Visions” at its annual Christmas party. Tickets for $1 each or six for $5 are available through any member of the guild, or on Saturday, Nov. 15, at the St. Michaels Christmas parade in front of Charisma. The heirloomquality quilt contains thousands of tiny stitches depicting in shades of blue and white the nautical flavor of the Mid-Shore: birds, flowers, boats, waterfowl, lighthouses, rivers, bays and creeks. Contributing artists were Mary Albright, Marti Milone, Fran Hoskins, Gretchen Celestino, Rose Sigman, Genevieve Decere, Doris Powers, Sarah Maxwell, Audrey McNulty and Adrienne Wafer.
