EPD makes two arrests at Giant
EASTON — Easton police two arrests Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Giant.
Police said officers saw Easton resident William Paige White approaching customers and employees of Giant, soliciting for money. Police said they arrested White for aggressively soliciting for money.
A search of White’s backpack revealed a hypodermic syringe containing suspected heroin residue. White said he was there with his fiancée, later identified as Kristen Amber Callahan of no fixed address, police said.
Officers then made contact with Callahan who had come out of the grocery store, police said. A records check of Callahan showed she had an outstanding bench warrant in Queen Anne’s County charging with failing to appear for court, police said.
Callahan was arrested on the warrant. A search of her and her backpack revealed two packs of Reese’s candy, which Callahan had stolen form Giant, police said. Officers also found a silver spoon containing suspected heroin residue and numerous hypodermic syringes containing suspected heroin, police said.
Both White and Callahan were taken to the Talbot County Detention Center.
