BAAR celebrates officers, annual award recipients
GRASONVILLE — The Bay Area Association of Realtors recently held its installation of officers and awards ceremony at a brunch hosted at Bridges Restaurant at the Kent Narrows. More than 100 members, guests and elected officials attended.
The new officers of BAAR are President Dinah Riordan with First Home Mortgage; President-Elect Ed Beres with RE/MAX Executive; Treasurer Kathleen Brenton with Brenton & Clark Realty; and Past President Retha Arrabal with Doug Ashley Realtors.
The new directors are Tammy Rosendale (Rosendale Realty); Ryan Eber (The Atlantic Title Group); Michele Palmer (Doug Ashley Realtors); Cr ystal Smith (RE/MAX Executive); Connie Fallon (Coldwell Banker/Waterman Realty); Gretchen Wichlinski (Rosendale Realty); Terri Murray (RE/MAX Executive); Debbie Shiley (Long & Foster); Megan Rosendale (Rosendale Realty); and Samantha Grimes (Chesapeake Real Estate Associates).
Outstanding Realtors and members also were recognized. Tammy Rosendale (Rosendale Realty) received the Realtor of the Year award, while Ed Beres (RE/MAX Executive) received the Community Service Award and Erin Anderson (Chesapeake Real Estate Associates) was awarded the Rookie Realtor of the Year.
Other awards included the Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Jack Ashley with Ashley Premier Properties and Peg Sommers with Sommers Enterprises.
Affiliate of the Year went to Mia Marinucci for her commitment to BAAR and her dedication to BAAR’s signature event “BAAR & BEARS,” which raised money for Adopt-A-Bear and other charities in Queen Anne’s, Kent and Caroline counties.
Finally, a special award was presented to Merry Tobin, the current president of the Maryland Realtors and a longtime member of BAAR. Tobin received the Mary Lou Rosendale Award of Excellence for all she has done professionally for the real estate community and all her endeavors in suppor ting groups and organizations in her community.
