Give new council a chance to govern

The Star Democrat - - OPINION -

The elections are over. The persons elected are in office because the majority of voters deemed them qualified. I’m perplexed why anyone would consider a secret ballot for president and vice president of the county council a voting bloc while not knowing how ever yone voted. Furthermore I’ve never entered a voting booth without knowing for whom I was voting.

The only jeopardy we possibly face is the further eradication of civility before the new council takes action. So let’s sit back and give our newly elected officials the chance to govern. And if they don’t do a good job let the majority of the voters “vote the bums out.”
