Tidewater PT names new clinical director in Chester
CHESTER — Tidewater Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Associates P.A. have hired Brian Prettyman, PT, DPT as the new clinical director and Doctor of Physical Therapy at their Chester location.
Brian received his bachelor of science in health science from Salisbury University in 2013. Brian gained experience in the field of physical therapy, working as a physical therapy technician with Tidewater Physical Therapy, until going back to school to further his career. In 2017, Brian received his doctor of physical therapy from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
“It is a special sentiment when we can hire one of our previous technicians as a physical therapist. Brian teched at both our Easton and St. Michaels clinics. It’s humbling to know that the care we provided to our patients, inspired him to become a physical therapist. We are very optimistic and enthusiastic about the addition of Dr. Prettyman. He is an extremely intelligent and caring individual with an abundance of knowledge and compassion to give to his patients. We know he will be a welcomed addition to our Chester community,” Jennifer Walter, COO, CFO of Tidewater Physical Therapy, said.
Prettyman’s area of interests include manual therapy, multi-trauma therapies, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), balance, pre- and post-operative and joint replacement therapies, sports and orthopedic therapy, and stroke rehabilitation. He also will continue to offer extended hours and aquatic therapy at the Chester clinic.
