Easton Police Department welcomes five new officers

EASTON — Just days after graduating from the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy, five new officers were welcomed to the Easton Police Department at the Easton Town Council meeting Monday evening.

The new officers completed more than 800 hours of training over six months and received instructio­n in law, patrol tactics, criminal investigat­ions, emergency medical care, crisis interventi­on, crime prevention, prisoner processing and security, courtroom preparatio­n and testimony, police firearms training and qualificat­ion, and more.

The five new patrolmen were recognized at a formal graduation ceremony on Dec. 17 and will begin the Easton Police Department’s 300 hour field training program.
