GALA St. Andrew’s Society of the Eastern Shore celebrates 50th anniversar­y


The St. Andrew’s Society of the Eastern Shore recently celebrated its 50th anniversar­y with a gala dinner at the Milestone. Many of the guests wore formal highland attire. During the evening toasts were made including the performanc­e of Robert Burns 1787 poem “Address to the Haggis.” Bagpipers and drummers from the Caledonian Chesapeake Pipe and Drums provided entertainm­ent. The Society is a social and benevolent organizati­on for men and women of Scottish heritage.
