GALA St. Andrew’s Society of the Eastern Shore celebrates 50th anniversary
The St. Andrew’s Society of the Eastern Shore recently celebrated its 50th anniversary with a gala dinner at the Milestone. Many of the guests wore formal highland attire. During the evening toasts were made including the performance of Robert Burns 1787 poem “Address to the Haggis.” Bagpipers and drummers from the Caledonian Chesapeake Pipe and Drums provided entertainment. The Society is a social and benevolent organization for men and women of Scottish heritage. The Society offers educational and charitable assistance to Scots, their descendants and widows and widowers. For more information visit the SASES website at www.sases.net.
