Police continue to investigate after Federalsburg shooting

FEDERALSBURG — Police are actively investigating a late-night shooting in Federalsburg on Sunday, Dec. 19.

Around 2:19 a.m. on Dec. 19, deputies from the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in Federalsburg in reference to a reported shooting.

After arriving at the residence, deputies learned that a male individual had gone to the UM Shore Medical Center at Cambridge after suffering a gunshot wound. His injuries were non life-threatening, police said.

Detectives went to the hospital to interview the victim and determined that several shots were fired at the scene.The victim was unable to identify the person(s) who shot him.
