Host Ann Curry and her team help re­unite two sets of strangers who changed each other’s lives as this poignant, feel-good se­ries re­turns for its sopho­more sea­son com­pris­ing nine new episodes. The opener, “Saved in Viet­nam,” in­tro­duces Dave John­son, a U.S. Army colonel look­ing to find the he­li­copter pi­lot who put his own life at risk to save John­son af­ter he crashed in Cam­bo­dia. Then, Army fi­nance clerk Robert Wag­ner hopes to re­con­nect with a sur­geon who saved his leg fol­low­ing a com­bat in­jury.

Mur­taugh (Da­mon Wayans Sr.) reaches out to Tom Barnes (guest star Mykelti Wil­liamson), the former men­tor of Cole (Seann Wil­liam Scott), for help on a car­tel case that car­ries some very high stakes in the new episode “Bali.” Else­where, he and wife Tr­ish (Kee­sha Sharp) meet Natalie and Maya (guest stars Mag­gie Law­son and Shay Ru­dolph) for the first time, while ten­sions be­tween new part­ners Bai­ley and “The Gute” (Michelle Mitchenor, guest star Paola Lazaro) quickly es­ca­late.

Grammy win­ners Sha­nia Twain and Travis Tritt, along with plat­inum-sell­ing singer-song­writer Jake Owen, make up the fea­tured panel of stars in this new eight-part mu­sic show­case hosted by ra­dio per­son­al­ity Gra­ham Bunn. In each episode, that three­some will hand-se­lect emerg­ing soloists, duos and groups in the coun­try field, who will demon­strate their tal­ents. The best artists in each episode move on to the two-hour fi­nale and a chance to be named one of the in­dus­try’s next break­out acts.
