Movie: Moana

7 p.m. on DISN

Disney animators dipped into the deep well of Polynesian mythology for this 2016 3-D computer-animated musical fantasy about the strong-willed young daughter of a Polynesian chief, who is chosen by the ocean itself to undertake a mission to save her island from a blight. To reverse that situation, Moana (voice of newcomer Auli’i Cravalho) must set sail and find Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), a shape-shifting demigod, and reclaim a mystic stone belonging to a goddess. The film was nominated for two Academy Awards, including best animated feature.

Fresh Off the Boat

8 p.m. on WOLO

Jessica (Constance Wu) sternly disapproves of the news that Evan (Ian Chen) has a girlfriend, since she’s convinced this new development will only distract her son from his schoolwork and hurt his grades in the new episode “You’ve Got a Girlfriend.” Meanwhile, Eddie, Emery and Honey (Hudson Yang, Forrest Wheeler, Chelsey Crisp) are baffled when Louis (Randall Park) takes a violent dislike to the new movie “You’ve Got Mail,” not realizing the film reminds him of a shameful moment from his past.

James Davis: Live From the Town

11 p.m. on COMEDY
