AN­DER­SON - Doris Ann Bur­rell, 72 of An­der­son, SC passed away on Wed­nes­day, Novem­ber 7, 2018 at Rainey Hos­pice House.

Born Fe­bru­ary 27, 1946 in Greenville, SC, she was a daugh­ter of the late J.T. Leop­ard and Wil­lie Mae Russ. Ann was raised at Con­nie Maxwell Chil­dren’s Home. She and her fam­ily resided in Columbia, SC, where she prac­ticed nurs­ing at Three Rivers Be­hav­ioral Health. Fol­low­ing re­tire­ment, she and Dwight moved to An­der­son in 2015. She was a mem­ber of First Pres­by­te­rian Church in An­der­son.

She is sur­vived by her hus­band of 52 years, Dwight Bur­rell; daugh­ter, Su­san Morten­son (Ja­son); broth­ers, John and Ron­nie Leop­ard; sis­ter, Betty Turner; two grand­chil­dren, Grace Ann Morten­son and Abby Leigh Morten­son and many nieces and neph­ews.

In ad­di­tion to her par­ents, she was pre­ceded in death by her brother, Olin Leop­ard.

The fam­ily will re­ceive friends from 1:00-2:30 pm Sun­day, Novem­ber 11, 2018 at The McDougald Fu­neral Home. The me­mo­rial ser­vice will fol­low in the chapel at 3:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Den­nis Ted­der of­fi­ci­at­ing.
