Cardinals: Arizona released quarterback Sam Bradford, whose eight NFL seasons have been plagued by injuries. He signed a one-year, $20 million contract – with $15 million guaranteed – in the offseason but was replaced by rookie Josh Rosen during a Week 3 loss to the Bears. He’s been inactive for every game since.
Raiders: Defensive end Bruce Irvin was released, The Athletic reported. His playing time had dramatically decreased in the past two games, the Mercury News of San Jose, Calif., reported.
Packers: Receiver Geronimo Allison will miss Sunday’s game against New England with multiple injuries.
Bears: Three-time Pro Bowl lineman Kyle Long was placed on injured reserve because of a tendon injury in his right foot. He will be out for at least eight weeks.
Colts: Kicker Adam Vinatieri’s jersey and cleats – worn last Sunday when he set the NFL’s career scoring record – along with the football he booted for the mark will be displayed at Pro Football Hall of Fame. Vinatieri finished the day with 2,550 career points, surpassing the previous record of 2,544 held by Hall of Famer Morten Andersen.
Shine Game captains: Pro Football Hall of Famers Will Shields and Aeneas Williams, three-time Pro Bowler Mark Brunell and three-time Super Bowl champion Willie McGinest will serve as the East-West Shrine Game legends captains. The 94th annual East-West Shrine Game, which features some of college football’s best prospects, is scheduled for Jan. 19 in St. Petersburg, Florida.
