Albany drops 101 points on River Hawk men in 12th loss of the season
River Hawks defeat Albany, 53-51, on Wednesday night.
The Umass Lowell women’s basketball team overcame a 6point deficit entering the fourth quarter and defeated visiting Albany, 53-51, on Wednesday night.
The River Hawks won their seventh straight, improving to 10-9 and 6- 0 in America East Conference play.
Ren’cia Rolling led the way for
UML with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Kharis Idom and Bri Stiers had 10 points each.
Albany led 42-36 after three quarters, but Jaliena Sanchez put UML up for good with a 3-pointer that made it 51-50 with 1:06 remaining.
Lowell native Alexi Schecter had 14 points and 10 rebounds for Albany.

Graduate student Christian Lutete posted 21 points for Umass Lowell, but that was nothing compared to the 41 points (eight 3pointers) from Albany (11-9, 4-1 AE) sophomore guard Cameron Healy. The 41 set a new Albany program record.
Lutete was joined in double-figures by junior guard Obadiah Noel, who had 19 points. Freshman Connor Withers had 10 points and 8 rebounds.
The Great Danes led 42-33 at the half.
