Red Cross hosting blood donation events

medford » The American Red Cross is hosting blood donation events from Tuesday to Feb. 16. Donations will be accepted at multiple locations, including the Lowell Masonic Center and the Knickerbocker Club in Lowell, the Chelmsford Town Hall Gym, the Merrimack Valley Seventh Day Adventist Church in Dracut, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pepperell and the Station Landing Red Cross location in Medford.

At the locations, the Red Cross will be testing blood, platelet and plasma donations for COVID-19 antibodies. Results for tests will be available within two weeks in the Red Cross Blood Donor

App or the donor portal at Redcrossblood.org, though positive test results do not confirm infection or immunity. Those who offer donations in February will receive a $5 Amazon gift card via email.
