“Lt. Gosselin and Sgt. Gibson have proven to be valuable members of the Dracut Police Department during their time here,” Bartlett said. “I’d like to congratulate them on their promotions and am confident that they will continue to serve the community with distinction.”
Lt. Gosselin was hired as a full-time officer with the police department in November 2007. He originally began his law enforcement career in 2004 with the Pelham Police Department. He was promoted to the rank of sergeant in May 2017, and assigned as a patrol supervisor and field training officer program supervisor.
During his time with the department, Gosselin has worked as a background investigator and field training officer, and was charged with revamping and instituting the Field Training Program for new recruits.
He also holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and technical writing from the University of Hartford. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in crisis and emergency manager from Lasalle University.
In his new role, he will be the assigned shift commander for the overnight shift.
Sgt. Gibson joined the police department in May 2008 after serving in the U.S. Air Force for four years. After serving in the patrol division as a background investigator and field training officer he was assigned to the detective division as an investigator.
He holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in criminal justice from Umass Lowell.
In his new role, he will serve as the patrol supervisor for the overnight shift.
