Tewksbury to hold forum on updates to zoning bylaw

TEWKSBURY » The town will hold a public forum at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, at Tewksbury Town Hall to discuss the draft zoning bylaw, which will be considered at the 2022 Annual Town Meeting.

Changes to the bylaw were voted down at this year’s Town Meeting. The Zoning Bylaw Committee is once again hoping to update the bylaw to modernize it and make it easier to read, among other changes.

The draft zoning bylaw can be found at tewksbury-ma.gov/zoning-bylaw-committee.

Wilmington reminds residents to renew dog registrati­on

censes can now be renewed, and 2021 licenses will expire on March 31.

New dogs can be licensed by mail or in person, but not online, and a current rabies certificat­e is required. The fee for new dogs is $10 for those that have been spayed or neutered, and $15 for those that are not.

License renewal can be done online, in person or by mail. Prices are the same as for new dogs until March 31. From March 31 to May 31, dogs that are spayed or neutered are $25 and dogs that are not are $30. Starting June 1, there will be a $50 fine per household for late registrati­on.

If a dog’s rabies vaccinatio­n has expired, a new proof of vaccinatio­n is required.

If you no longer have your registered dog or if you move out of town, call the Town Clerk’s Office at 978-658-2030 to update the records.

Office at Town Hall.

Billerica installs technology for hybrid meetings

Billerica » This week, the town began work to install technology to allow hybrid meetings in the Select Board Meeting Room at Town Hall, to allow both in-person and remote participat­ion.

The technology is also being installed in room 210 and the auditorium, where other events and meetings are frequently held. The constructi­on is expected to last about three weeks.

Non-profit Alliance announces award winners

lowell » The Non-profit Alliance of Greater Lowell has announced its annual NPA Awards winners.

This year’s recipients include:

Ellen Andre, Merrimack Valley Food Bank. Other finalists included: Jeff Brem, Habitat for Humanity; and Sal Kapadia and Ally Bull, Lowell Associatio­n for the Blind.

Jim Wilde, Merrimack Valley Housing Partnershi­p. Debbie Callery, Merrimack Valley Food Bank, was also a finalist.

Maria Cunha, Jennifer Aradhya, Danielle Mcfadden and Yanelly Cruz served as the panel of judges.
